
Student Organization Support
Student Org Storage
The SEC provides storage drawers and shelves for registered student organizations that need
assistance with item storage. Organizations can apply after registering with the SEC. Please note
that space is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis to registered student
organizations. Registered student organizations will have access to their storage space for one
academic year and then will be responsible for collecting their items by the final day of classes. If
items are not collected before the start of the following academic year, items will be removed
by the SEC team or KU facilities.
- General Use
- The student organization’s drawers and shelves are to be used as a storage space
for organization’s supplies and resources. - The SEC reserves the right to access all storage areas as needed. There should be no
expectation of privacy within any storage spaces.

- Eligibility
- Organizations must be registered with the SEC via KU Engage before requesting a
storage space. - Organizations with access to office space or storage elsewhere on the university
campus are ineligible for storage space in the SEC.

- Expectations- RSOs must follow the expectations outlined below. Extreme or repeated violations of the policies below will result in the removal of assigned space.
- Keep organization items contained within the assigned space.
- Clearly label all items that belong to your organization.
- Keep the space orderly and in compliance with local safety and fire codes. Anyone
must be able to easily access the student organization storage spaces. - Items that do not fit within the assigned storage space are not permitted to be stored.
- Ensure cleanliness (no wet items, sand, etc.)
- Respect all organizations' items who share the space.
- The following items are strictly prohibited. Items that violate our policy will be removed by the SEC. The university is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items. Any damage to the assigned storage spaces will be billed to the RSO(s) for repair or replacement cost.
- Open or expired food or beverages
- Electrical appliances
- Alcohol or any other prohibited items
- Hazardous and flammable materials
- Trash
- Personal Items
- Storage Space Access
- Only student organization executive board members/officers will be able to access
the storage space application on the KU Engage site. - Once approved, the SEC will outreach to the primary contact of the organization to
schedule a time for item drop-off in assigned space. The SEC will assign space based
on availability. - To access assigned organization spaces to retrieve items, approved members must
stop by the SEC front desk during normal operating hours to request access. At that
time, a SEC staff member will unlock the storage space to allow access. Students
should not request access to storage spaces from any other campus entity (union
building management, facilities, etc.).
- Only student organization executive board members/officers will be able to access
- Termination- Loss of assigned storage space may occur if an organization does not conduct activities in accordance with the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities or the expectations as described in this document.
Student organization storage sign-up for the 2026-2027 academic year will open on August 28th, 2026.

Pepsi Program
The Pepsi Program is to be used for university programs that benefit a significant portion of the KU student community (current KU students, faculty, and staff), promote a sense of community life at KU, promote academic life at KU, and support new programming. The Pepsi Program includes Pepsi Funding and Pepsi Product requests.
