Pepsi Funding Guidelines

Pepsi Program is to be used for university programs that benefit a large proportion of the KU student community (current KU students, faculty, and staff); promote a sense of community life at KU; promote academic life at KU; and support new programming.

 

Pepsi Funding Request Applications must be submitted the Friday before you plan to present.  
Presentations must be at least 2 weeks before the event to best ensure fulfillment can be completed. Please review the planned Committee meeting dates for presentations. 

  • Please be prepared to submit an event flier, itemized budget, and all necessary supporting documents.

 

Prior Pepsi Funding awards should not be considered a guarantee of future awards. 


Pepsi Funding Request Guidelines

  • Primary target audience is KU student community members
  • An organization can request funding only once per semester (Fall/Spring)
  • Applicants must be a registered student organization/department with the SEC
  • Program/Event must be open to all members of the KU community
  • Preference is for events to occur on KU's campus
  • KU catering is the preferred food vendor
    • An Exemption Form will be required if KU Catering is not used


Pepsi Funding does not cover:  

  • Travel 
  • Registration fees
  • Organizational fundraising /philanthropy events
  • Events where an entry fee is charged
  • Events not available to the entire KU community
  • Applications that are submitted late
    • (Presentations must be at least 2 weeks before the event)
  • 100% of program expenses
  • Single use décor items
  • Prizes/Gifts/Giveaways



Following the submission of your application, you will be notified by email of the day and time your organization is scheduled to present. Presentations are mandatory at least 2 weeks prior to your event. 

  • Presentation requirements:  
    • Overview of Organization
    • Overview of Program/Event
    • Number of KU community members this program impacts
    • Full program budget - highlighting what you are requesting Pepsi Funds to cover 
      • including ALL funding sources being used to cover this event
    • An itemized budget for what is being requested from Pepsi Fund 
      • including quotes from vendors -- KU Catering, Jayhawk Ink, etc. 
        • Food Policy Exemption Form approval (if applicable) 
    • Impact of not receiving this funding  

Organizations are scheduled to present in order of applications received as long as time to fulfill request is adequate. Your presentation date may be moved if necessary. 

Communication will be sent through contact email.

Award decisions are sent by email with further fulfillment instructions.

Pepsi Product Guidelines

Pepsi Program is to be used for university programs that benefit a large proportion of the KU student community (current KU students, faculty, and staff); promote a sense of community life at KU; promote academic life at KU; and support new programming.

 

Pepsi Product Request Applications must be submitted at least 14 business days prior to the event date. Please keep applications to the semester in which you are seeking product donation. 

This is only a request. Product awards are not guaranteed, nor are the amounts requested. 

Prior Pepsi product awards should not be considered a guarantee of future awards. 

 

Pepsi Product Request Guidelines

  • Primary target audience is KU student community members
  • An organization can request products only twice per semester (Fall/Spring)
  • Applicants must be a registered student organization/department with the SEC
  • Program/Event must be open to all members of the KU community
  • Preference is for events to occur on KU's campus.
  • Events taking place on the weekend must make plans to pick product up by the close of business the Friday before the event. 

 

Pepsi Product is not awarded for: 

  • Weekly organizational meetings
  • Organizational fundraising /philanthropy events 
  • Events where an entry fee is charged
  • Events not available to the entire KU community
  • Applications that are submitted late
    • Applications must be submitted at least 14 business days prior to the event date.

 

Following the submission of your application you will be notified through KU Engage of the award decision. 

If your request has been approved, you will also receive an email from KU Catering Services with further instructions regarding product pick-up.
