Pepsi Funding

Pepsi Program Funds are to be used for university programs that benefit a large proportion of the KU community, promote a sense of community life at KU, promote academic life at KU, and/or promote community service efforts.  

Pepsi Program things to know:  

  • Target audience must be KU community members
  • An organization can only request funding once per semester (Fall/Spring).  
  • KU catering is the preferred food vendor for the University.
    • An Exemption Form will be required for any food/beverages provided in which KU Catering will not be used.  
  • T-Shirts approved only for special circumstances  
  • Applications must be presented at least 2 weeks prior to your event to best ensure fulfillment of any approved funding. 

Pepsi Funding does not cover:  

  • Travel Requests  
  • Organizational fundraising efforts
  • Events where an entry fee is charged
  • 100% of program expenses

 

Following the submission of your application, you will be notified of next steps, which includes a mandatory presentation.  

Presentation requirements:

  • Overview of program, organization, and event
  • Full program budget - highlighting what you are requesting Pepsi funds to cover  
  • Number of KU community members this program is going to impact.  
  • Additional funding sources being used to cover this event.  
  • The impact of not receiving this funding.   
  • An itemized budget - including quotes from vendors.

Pepsi Product

Pepsi product is to be used for university programs that benefit a large proportion of the KU community, promote a sense of community life at KU, promote academic life at KU, and/or promote community service efforts.  

Prior Pepsi product awards should not be considered a guarantee of future awards. All applications must be submitted at least 14 business days prior to the event date. Please keep applications to the semester in which you are seeking product donation. 

Pepsi products will not be provided for weekly meetings held by a singular organization or department. Organizations and departments will be limited to two product requests per semester.

Events taking place on the weekend must make plans to pick product up by the close of business the Friday before the event. 

After your submission has been approved, you will receive an email from KU Catering Services with further instructions regarding product pick-up. For questions, please email the Student Engagement Center at engagement@ku.edu
