Biography

Cierra joined the Student Engagement Center (SEC) staff in 2024 as Associate Director of Student Community Programs. Her main responsibilities include overseeing student of color, queer and trans, women and femme, and nontraditional student programming.

A native of Louisiana, Cierra is joined the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) staff in 2021 as a Program Coordinator for Identity and Social Justice Programing post-completion of her Master’s degree in Women’s Studies at the University of Alabama, where she also obtained her B.A. in African American Studies. While at the university, she was able to partner with the Women and Gender Resource Center to develop programming that amplified the voices of the most marginalized students on campus, while facilitating dialogue to make the campus a safer, more inclusive place for those students. She hopes to continue that work while at the SEC.
